RSS Feeds

At last my RSS feeds are done. Now I am overwhelmed with information on new recipes to try, the latest news, children's activities, gardening tips and the latest movie reviews. There is sooo much to read I am having trouble keeping up with it all. I can see that I will have to change my mind set and get used to a different way of gathering information. Sometimes all I need is a little networking and suddenly every thing will fall into place. It is amazing how some people can see a way forward when I can't see the wood for the trees.
I think it is time to take my friends advise and chill out under a shady tree with a good book cheese, crackers and a glass of bubbly or two....hopefully you will join me there :) The more the merrier I think

My favourite passtime

I have finally found a picture that is more or less me. It features a book titled 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho which I have to say is one of my all time favourites. It is seemingly so simple but really deep and meaningful. Very well written in my opinion. Reading this book inspired me to read some of his other books. I found 'By the river Piedra I sat down and wept' to be very moving. The picture also represents one of my other favourite passtimes. Food! I regularly like to scour recipe books and magazines for new recipes that use fresh ingredients to create quick, healthy and surprisingly tasty dishes. I enjoy chatting with like minded people and sharing recipes and cooking experiences. I like nothing more than to relax with good food and a good book. Ahh what a dreamer!!

Blogging

Yay I've done it!!!

Not really sure how blogging and I will get along but will give it a go. I'm more the old fashioned type you see. I love to pick up the phone, meet over coffee chat with my mouth not my fingers and wave my arms about. I like to see the expressions on peoples faces hear the inflections in their voices. I also see how many people who like to blog, tweet and SMS are misunderstood. What started out as harmless when typed and sent suddenly takes on a totally different meaning when received. It is as though the letters have a life of their own and jump around to create havoc and mayhem. They are like nasy little gremlins lurking in syber space having fun at other peoples expense.
I guess blogging has it's place but do I have a place with blogging!
